Wanted – Sport Supervisor/builder to join an outstanding multi-service brand agency delivering exceptional events and experiences. This newly created role will work within our established Sports Team reporting to the Project Director, Sport and focuses on the interior fit out of corporate temporary structures from design to install.
We are very interested in hearing from individuals who ideally have previous experience in the manufacture of premium hospitality spaces within a temporary pre-built structure. You will be able to demonstrate an aptitude or have experience in the preparation and building of temporary structures for corporate hospitality events or previous shopfitting experience utilising practical carpentry, painting and finishing skills. You will also be experienced with supervising and managing other team members.
The role will work alongside the Sport Spatial Designers, Project team and the wider Exhibition & Spatial Design team members within the workshop and warehouse environment. The role will require the individual to build a full and detailed knowledge of the project requirements along with possessing the appropriate practical skills to ensure excellent build and preparation skills to deliver project elements from design to installation.
A quick summary of other necessary skills/experience are:
• People management skills and be used to supervising the work of others which could be freelancers and other prep work colleagues who may be supporting the project build elements
• Experience of allocating daily work schedules and meeting deadlines
• Skilled in working from technical drawings to ensure projects are managed through effectively using the most appropriate construction methods
• Experience of inventory management, liaising with suppliers
• Practical knowledge and experience of construction specifically working within temporary structures with good finishing skills
• Carpentry knowledge and skills would be desirable
• Experience to overseeing quality control of build elements
• Experience of creating Drawing to Load processes is desirable
• Prior experience of working on-site at events is desirable
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety – warehouse/workshop and on-site
• Good level of IT skills – Microsoft i.e. MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word
• Ability to undertake frequent lifting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and re-construction of sets on-site before and after an event
• Forklift licence
The successful candidate will be pro-active, enthusiastic, very well organised, and a team player who can multi-task and work to strict deadlines whilst still delivering great service. You will be required to work flexibly within the team and be available to work during weekends or evenings either at the warehouse/workshop or on site when there is a business need. You will need to be independently mobile to perform this role.

We are very interested in hearing from individuals who ideally have previous experience in the manufacture of exhibition stands and event structures or have an interest in developing a career within live events and exhibitions. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate an aptitude or have experience in the preparation and building of temporary structures utilising carpentry, painting and finishing skills.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, very well organised, and a team player who can multi-task and work to strict deadlines whilst still delivering great service. You will be required to work flexibly within the team and be available to work during weekends or evenings either at the workshop or on site when there is a business need. You will need to be independently mobile to perform this role. A requirement of this role will be to undertake frequent lifting of sets and stands within the workshop and supporting the load/unload of equipment for projects. Forklift licence is desirable but training can be provided.
This opportunity will suit individuals who may have a relevant carpentry/construction qualification or be qualified through experience. However, we would also consider applications from recently qualified carpentry candidates.
