Doosan: The open golf championship

The challenge

Following our successful delivery of the Doosan exhibition and hospitality areas at the previous Open Golf Championship at Carnoustie, we were asked to design and deliver the Doosan activations at the Open Championship at Portrush, Northern Ireland.

The solution

To raise awareness of the Doosan brand and their commitment to sponsoring the Open Championship, we took a number of eye-catching approaches. A range of Doosan excavators and forklifts were displayed in the Fan Zone, while the two-storey Doosan hospitality suite sited alongside the 18th fairway was transformed into a restaurant for 80 on the ground floor with a viewing area located on the 1st floor.

The outcome

Doosan enjoyed a spectacular rise in visitor numbers to their stand. The activations were incredibly popular, providing not only on-site engagement but plenty of wider, visitor driven comms through social media. The hospitality suite provided a key focus for Doosan and their guests, providing the perfect environment to mix business and pleasure.
